Aureos Capital has bolstered its investor relations team with the hire of Marlon Sahetapy as principal.
Sahetapy has been brought in from Hermes Focus Asset Management where he was director in charge of marketing and investor relations. Based in Singapore, Sahetapy will be responsible for growing the company’s investor base across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will work alongside Brigit van Dijk – van de Reijt, partner and global head of investor relations and marketing.
Sahetapy joined Hermes in 2005, and was most recently responsible for fund raising and investor relations across Hermes’ platform of shareholder activist equity funds. He also contributed to the commercial development of the Hermes Equity Ownership Service, which provides institutional investors with advice on the responsible management of their holdings.
He joined Hermes from Lipper in Southeast Asia, where he worked in business development. Sahetapy started his career at Reuters, having been recruited under the bureau’s management trainee program.
